Battersea’s long-serving chairman Alan Palmer has been appointed president of the London Chess League.
Alan’s role is subject to formal approval at the next AGM, but he will fill the post immediately. Alan will continue as chairman of Battersea.
Alan said: “Time will tell whether I am to be congratulated or commiserated.”
Battersea is a founder member of the London Chess League, which has been in existence since 1886.
We currently have five teams battling across its six divisions, including our first team in division 1.
