Battersea Chess Club is proud to present the return of the biggest intramural chess tournament in the world — the Grand Prix — in a five-round Swiss summer classic, Tuesday nights July 4th – August 1st. Games are 75+15 classical matches starting at 7.30pm.
You can enter at any time, including once the tournament has begun. Please enter by 23.59pm on Friday for games on the following Tuesday; if you wish to play the whole tournament the deadline is Friday 30th June.
We are pleased to introduce a new beginners and improvers section for players rated under 1200, or who want to get their first rating. Players can also opt to be paired up in our mentoring scheme. Participants are encouraged to meet with each other at the club or remotely to discuss the mentee’s games and get advice.
