Grandmaster Jon Speelman is a three-time British Champion, twice a World Championship Candidate, and a former top 10 player – and now he’s challenging you to a match at Battersea.
The 62-year-old Spurs fan is holding a special simultaneous display at our venue on Wednesday, October 9.
This is your chance to play one of the greats of English chess, but the club will also be open for this extra night if you want to play a casual game.
Places are limited
All strengths of players are welcome, and GM Speelman will play white on all boards.
The event is free but a small donation to help us recoup the cost of renting the room for an extra night would be much appreciated. Boxes will be provided on the night.
