Natural order in the Central London League could be seen to have been restored as Battersea’s first-team edged past the second-team in the derby match last week.
In what was the first out of the new season for several of the players, Tommaso Penna‘s Battersea 1 beat Emil Todorow‘s Battersea 2 by 3 games to 2.
It follows a difficult season for Battersea 1 last year when Emil’s side threatened to overtake them throughout.
Wins for Aldo Camilleri and newboy Tobor Jones secured the points while Battersea 2’s Tim Spanton scored an excellent draw against first-team skip Tommaso and Rafael Del Valle Domenech beat Ali Hill.
