New year – new Battersea chess tournament.

We’re launching a new one-night-only chess event at Battersea and you are invited to play.

Here is everything you need to know:

What is it?

This is an internal team Swiss competition held over one evening. Each team will be made up of three players, each of whom fit into one of three grading categories (see our list of players below). The time controls will be rapid, probably 15 minutes with a 10 second delay.

How do I get in a team?

You can set one up with two other players or we can place you in one – up to you.

When is it?

In January – but the date is to be confirmed. More to follow soon!

How to I enter?

Just let Aldo or Leon know you want to play.

Who can enter?

It’s for Battersea members only – but our membership fee is only £20 for new members so feel free to join up.

Will it be graded?

Yes, it will be ECF graded and count towards your rapid-play grade.
