It has been a while, but we’re very pleased to announce that our FIDE-rated chess is back at Battersea.
The second Battersea FIDE Blitz will kick off on Tuesday, July 5 at 7.30pm sharp. But be there at 7pm if you need to register.
Everyone is welcome, but Battersea members get 50% off the price and an early chance at entry.

The event is:
- £5 for Battersea members / £10 if not
- Places are LIMITED
- 10-round swiss
- Time controls are 3m and 2s increment
- Registration 7pm. Clocks start at 7.30pm
- Latest entries, pairings and results will be posted online at https://chess-results.com/fed.aspx?lan=1&fed=ENG
The event is being overseen by FIDE-qualified arbiters Adam Raoof (IA) and John Bowley (NA).
PLEASE NOTE: Players without existing FIDE ID who join the tournament will get registered as ENG and need to provide their date of birth to play.
Transferring your FIDE country to a different country in the future would incur a charge.
