Battersea’s Central London Chess League first team exerted their dominance over our second team last night with an emphatic 4-1 win.
The division 1 all-Battersea derby match at the Labour Club went to form as Midhun Unnikrishnan, Ali Hill, Rafael Del Valle Domenech and Tim Spanton all racked up wins.
The only turn up was a victory for Tim Wells over club stalwart Vic Rumsey. Battersea 1 captain Paul Stokes did not play.
It leaves Emil Todorow‘s Battersea 2, who were promoted last year, still winless and rooted to the bottom of the table.
Paul’s Battersea 1, meanwhile, stand fourth.
