He’s our friend from the other side of the pond, and this month he’s back for a free night of chess and chat in Battersea.
IM John Bartholomew, the YouTube star who helps run chess training site Chessable, will make a one night only visit on Wednesday, November 29.
If you want to meet the big man, you can sign up via Eventbrite here. The event is free and open to everyone – not just Battersea members.
It starts at 5pm, although you can of course come later.
You’ll get the chance to have a game with John, who is probably the most famous chess YouTuber of them all, and get some feedback.
Here John in action:
Last year John played a blitz battle at the club which culminated with an epic three-match play-off with the Ginger GM Simon Williams.
John is in the UK as part of his work with Chessable, the popular chess education site that teaches openings and endgame concepts.
He will also be competing in the London Chess Classic Open at Olympia where he hopes to pick up a GM norm. Good luck John!
