Battersea’s promising junior Denis Dupuis scored a brilliant win over the Ginger GM Simon Williams in a game played live on the grandmaster’s stream.
Denis and Simon were playing in the chess24 Community Battle – an on-going event held to promote the chess platform’s new playzone in the run-up to the FIDE World Championship later this month.
Denis won the first game as Simon played the London System, and then the Grandmaster got his revenge with a win in the King’s Gambit.
Having lost the first game, Simon described the “young warrior” as “one of the most talented juniors in England”. You can watch it here:
